Care Coordination
Many long term care insurance policies include care coordination services offering assistance and advocacy for policy holders and their families. Care coordination involves assessment of an individual’s needs, benefit triggers, health care recommendations, policy claims adjudication and on-going care monitoring. Our strong recommendation to insured individuals, regardless whether care coordination is a covered benefit in the LTCi contract, is to engage the services of a seasoned care management professional who can assist with the evaluation of the person’s needs and help streamline care services and the claims process.
